Due to internal promotion and growth of our successful team we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales Administrator to support our sales team in managing customer relationships, tracking/controlling enquires and ensuring smooth administrative operations.
37 Hours a week Monday to Friday
This role is the cornerstone of the office interacting with everyone in the team, central operations and other service centres. You will play an essential part in keeping the sales office running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, by managing communication, tracking order progress, and ensuring all documentation is correct and up to date, you will help the sales team operate efficiently and provide an excellent service to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include managing daily office tasks such as handling emails, organising delivery routes, maintaining records, and coordinating with the sales team to ensure orders are accurate and on schedule for delivery to customers. Strong attention to detail is crucial, as you will be checking order accuracy, pricing, material type and grade.
Main Responsibilities
Assist the sales team with contract review, order checking, invoicing accurately and promptly.
Maintain and update customer records within the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Respond to customer enquiries via email and phone, providing professional and courteous service.
Coordinate with other departments such as logistics and central operations to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Prepare sales and activity reports and distribute to the sales team.
Manage incoming correspondence and enquiries and ensure all communication is assigned to the relevant sales people and monitored to completion.
Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and scheduling appointments.
Key Required Skills
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM software is desirable.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively whilst managing multiple deadlines.
A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities.
Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role is advantageous but not essential.
