Reporting to the Sales Support Manager (Head Office), the Account Sales Representative team are responsible for supporting a defined group of B2B Account Managers aligned to specific industries (e.g. Facilities management, Hotels, Construction, Student Accommodation), in the growth of our B2B Key Account Customers.


The role compromises varied job elements, but the significant part of the role will be to proactively contact our customers to drive the success of B2B Key Accounts through targeted outbound campaigns, including lead generation and telemarketing activity.


This role may evolve to include more structured telemarketing initiatives to support customer acquisition and engagement

Working in partnership with Account Managers, they will contribute to achieving sales performance targets by driving customer engagement and identifying growth opportunities. Confidently communicate and champion the Screwfix proposition -- including our product range, service model, and value-added benefits -- by ensuring every customer interaction adds value, deepens engagement, and drives long-term loyalty Deliver targeted call campaigns to drive sales growth, generate leads, and recover down-spend by gathering actionable insights from Key Account customer Being responsible to engage and drive adoption of Screwfix with the end users through activities such as calling newly set up Key Account customers, life cycle calls, onboarding calls to provide information about our Screwfix proposition and make aware of they have any discount/rebate contract in place. Using a proactive call calendar, to identify any up-and-coming opportunities for one off quotes and bulk orders and follow these through to completion. Take ownership and act as resolution point for customer issues and queries of an escalated nature, using commercial judgement and seeking advice where appropriate to maintain positive professional relationships whilst considering the needs of the business. Work with Trade UK our 3rd party credit provider to deliver support to our customers, including debt management, loss prevention and card administration to increase and maintain end user spend. Generate and share tailored reports from our CRM system to support key account customer engagement and performance tracking. Maintain accurate CRM records by managing the setup of new customers and processing leavers, ensuring key account data is current and commercial terms such as discounts and rebates are correctly applied. Liaise and work with various stakeholders including Trade UK, B2B operations, Customer Service Centre, and Marketing. * Manage the shared email inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses to customer enquiries. This includes categorising and logging messages, escalating complex issues appropriately, maintaining records, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
