Work from home 16 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic, articulate and well-organized individual to support our sales manager in responding to customer queries and managing orders. This is a part-time position (4 hours per day, 4 days per week) working from home with potential to expand as business grows.

James Morton supply neckties and accessories to hundreds of schools, companies and sports clubs across the UK and abroad. All our products are "made to order" working with customers to agree their design and liaising with our UK manufacturing arm to ensure each product meets our client's specifications and delivered on time. The role:



Manage inbound sales enquiries predominantly by email, but some telephone contact may be needed (under supervision initially) Provide price quotes based on chosen product, quantity and design (information provided) Work with our in-house design team to create PDF designs to be sent to customers prior to production (communication rather than creative skills required) Liaise with our UK factory to place orders and monitor through to customer delivery (a process of around 6 weeks) Monitor customer payments (typically via bank transfer) to ensure timely payment with follow-ups as required Other adhoc tasks as required to support either our sales manager or the wider business - for example raising & emailing invoices

Skills and experience:



Experience working in customer sales & service environments (this role places a greater emphasis on service than sales) Confident and enthusiastic manner with customers Good verbal and written communication skills Well organized, maintaining clear records of active orders (supported by our online CRM system) Self-starter with a good level of personal drive interfacing between our full-time sale manager, customers, design team, and UK factory Computer literacy including use of Email and online CRM system (training provided) Comfortable calling people or organisations when required (but majority of conversations happen via email) Quiet space to work from home
Due to increasing sales across our business, we are looking for someone who can join our business on a part-time basis under supervision from our existing sales manager. We are a small, friendly business with great customers and a good team of people who will provide any training or support as needed.

Compensation



Total 16 hours - 4 hours per day Mon to Thu (some flexibility can be given) Business equipment provided e.g. laptop, phone. All business expenses paid Paid on a self-employment basis (guidance can be given if needed)
