Are you a sales professional with a background in engineering, particularly in industrial pumps or valves? We're a family-run engineering business based in Spalding, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our friendly, supportive team.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for promoting our range of engineering products, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting customers with technical advice. Your expertise will help drive growth and build strong, lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver clear, detailed reports and quotations
Travel to visit clients and prospects across various industries, coducting site surveys
Negotiate and close sales, defining scope and T&Cs
Create and analyse tenders and costings
Report regularly on sales performance and customer feedback
Maintain accurate records using a CRM system
Meet regular sales and activity targets
Plan and schedule appointments and prospecting activities
Attend trade shows, conferences, and marketing events
Provide technical advice and product information
Act as the link between clients, site engineers, workshop, and Directors
Forecast and analyse sales targets and performance
Actively manage and engage with marketing campaigns across social media platforms by executing campaign content, interacting with followers, and ensuring consistent brand messaging to maximise reach and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell our range of engineering products
Identify and develop new sales opportunities
Provide technical support and advice to customers
Maintain accurate sales records and reporting
Build long-term relationships with customers
Use CRM systems to manage customer interactions
MEICA and framework applications (experience beneficial)
What We're Looking For
Proven track record in sales (minimum 1 year)
Background in engineering, specifically industrial pumps or valves
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Organised with strong reporting and IT skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
