The role of the Naval Communications Campaign Manager involves extensive interaction with customers and stakeholders in order to secure annual order intake, meet demanding annual (IBP) sales targets as well as identifying and winning new business. You will be responsible for engaging closely with customers, end-users, platform manufacturers and integrators in both the UK and overseas in order to win profitable business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, winning business in order to:
Secure order intake to meet forecast targets for current and future years (IBP) by managing and delivering a portfolio of campaigns and sales opportunities.
Identify and create opportunities for future sales / growth.
Work closely as part of an ICT/IPT to contribute effectively to new BW activity.
Present detailed prospects to BW Reviews in order to secure pursuit, bid and resourcing approvals.
Develop bespoke win strategies, generate the price to win for individual campaigns, contribute effectively to the preparation of proposals for customers.
Undertake accurate and well-informed market and competitor analysis.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, end users and Industrial Partners.
Develop and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders including Regional and Divisional Marketing, the Business Area IPTs and the Capability function and other functional areas.
Utilise company BW procedures and apply your skills, knowledge and experience to ensure that opportunities are identified, tracked, accurately reported and secured.
Effective management and utilisation of BW resources, including BPIA, by bidding for and managing resources required to prosecute campaigns and opportunities.
Provide input to and support for marketing & communications (MARCOM) events such as shows, exhibitions, demonstrations, conferences, etc as planned and directed.
Assist in the preparation of private venture (PV) investment business cases to develop new capabilities.

As a Campaign Manager you will have an in depth understanding of Naval Communications, ideally through commercial or operational experience as an end user/operator or by having previous technical experience of Naval Communications systems.
A demonstrable record of success in developing, managing and leading significant sales campaigns within the defence, aerospace or other comparable sectors.
Innovative thinker and disciplined self-starter able to anticipate and overcome problems in a complex international sales environment.
Commercially and financially aware, with experience of negotiating and closing complex deals in the international marketplace.
Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations and export control procedures.
Effective and flexible communication skills, capable of confidently briefing to senior stakeholders across industry, government and the military.
Able to write compelling marketing content and proposals.
Strong self-discipline and motivational skills.
Able to lead a team to successfully deliver quality output during high pressure bid and customer response activity.
Required to make frequent visits (including overnight stays) to customer facilities in both the UK and overseas.
