Sales/office Person
Job Description
We are a family owned Furniture & Flooring retail business based in St.Ives And Gamlingay and have been around for nearly 40 years.
The role will involve the applicant working in a full time role at our St.Ives store as part of our sales/office team. The applicant will need to be physically fit as there will be some lifting of furniture and carpets. Sales training will be provided in our showroom from all departments: office, beds, flooring, dining, upholstery etc.
In the office and in sales the applicant needs to be good with people and have a polite telephone manner, they will be working on our digital retail sales system, so basic levels of computer competence is required.
The applicant will be required to work five days a week including one day at the weekend and some bank holidays.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Manage sales transactions and maintain accurate records of sales activities. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Support office operations by organizing files, managing schedules, and maintaining inventory. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve service delivery. Stay informed about product offerings to provide knowledgeable assistance to customers.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in sales support or office administration Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Customer service orientation with problem-solving skills Basic understanding of sales processes and techniques
