Job Summary


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales/Purchasing Associate to join our dynamic team at G2 Digital Video Ltd where we design/manufacture custom built 1U- 4U Rack Mounted, Mini and Rugged computers. The ideal candidate will support the Sales and Purchasing functions by managing enquires, converting them to sales , and supporting the customer through their purchasing life cycle through to receiving and using our products. This will include (where required) processing returns and quality management as well as internally liaising with the product development team on product improvements . The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service whilst also having an interest/technical knowledge of Computers and Hardware. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, assisting purchasing of components required whilst working closely with all other departments.

Responsibilities



To support the Sales/Purchasing functions by supporting and coordinating sales and purchasing operations including sales, shipping, purchasing, product specifications, returns and quality management to ensure overall performance is in line with management & ISO9001 objectives

Sales and Customer Experience; Being the first point of contact for enquiries (including email/phone and online chat), responsible for providing technical advice/assistance specifying the "best fit" product for clients' needs including cross selling other G2 products with the aim of converting to sales. Responsible for raising quotes, processing customer orders, monitoring work in progress and timely payment from customers. This includes communicating order updates to customers e.g. shipping dates, order changes, delays and key updates.

Support; First line support for after sale customers, including manage returns when required to ensure they get repaired, tested and shipped back in a timely manner. Investigate and assist with technical issues when they arise (e.g. hardware compatibility or product quirks) and ensure Customers are kept in the loop.

Data/Metrics information; Maintain clean, accurate records (update CRM (Salesflare)) of all opportunities /customer information to use for future marketing/sales. Use CRM and other internal systems to manipulate Sales/Purchasing data for management meetings/reviews including tracking lost sales opportunities.

Order Processing; Liaising with production to ensure timely shipment of customer orders, raising quality issues and ensuring accurate handover of Work Orders

Work with Purchasing to identify new products/sales demands and how this affects stock e.g. more/less stock required/different components needed etc. Using sales data to predict run rates and purchasing trends. Help purchasing by chasing suppliers on late deliveries and updating the system with price changes of components as they occur

Internal Feedback; collating customer service feedback to use internally to enhance our Company's performance e.g. quality issues, customer needs, product specification ideas. Collaborate with Product Development team to provide feedback on customers' requests/experience with using the products, and ideas for new products.

Enhance ordering processes; by entering new product specs/new builds into FileMaker with all components/details to use for future orders

Content and Product Input; Support Marketing dept with product information/expertise by suggesting ideas for blog posts, newsletters and marketing content. Identify areas lacking documentation and feed back to the Product Development Team requests for additional documentation to support the customer experience.

Goods In; Supporting goods in function by emailing rejections back to metal workers and fill out rejection collection notes.

Essential;

People person, confident to network with new customers

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Detail orientated and works with a high degree of accuracy

Must be self-directed, with a "can do" attitude and be able to complete projects with limited supervision

Highly organised

Be a logical thinker who can identify areas of improvement in a process/procedure and a solution

Technical knowledge of Computers/hardware

Problem solving and logical

Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines

Self-directed, with a "can do" attitude and be able to complete projects with limited supervision

Minimum Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths

IT literacy (Microsoft office), including SAGE

Right to Work in the UK

Preferable;

Excellent knowledge of G2 Digital Products and Services

Confident negotiator

Experience in a sales and/or purchasing support role

Knowledge of Supply Management Software (Database Management, Inventory Management, Procurement, Project Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning)

Specialised Industry Knowledge,

Knowledge/experience using systems e.g. Salesflare/ Filemaker

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
