Sally Pussey's Inn is a very busy, friendly restaurant and bar and we are looking to add to our team! Must be hands on, and ready for their next challenge.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and enhance existing menu items.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards.
Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues as necessary.
Foster a positive working environment through effective team management and communication.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
A passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
