Overview

We are looking for a sameday transport planner to join our growing team based in Huyton, Liverpool. This role will include looking after up to 20 vehicles daily, arranging collections and deliveries through out the UK and communicating with both customers and drivers.
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth transport operations utilising bespoke transport management software systems.

Duties

Allocation of work to drivers or subcontractors Working as part of a team Taking bookings accurately and advising clients of our services. Implementing and maintaining SLA's Proactively keeping clients and fellow employees informed of any delays or issues. Ensure the fleet size is sufficient to service our clients, particularly during peak periods - maintain levels and recruit drivers when required. Monitoring of jobs through to POD and completion. Any other duties instructed by Operations Manager or Senior Management Team. Ensure drivers achieve maximum revenue.

Transport Planning skills Effective Communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
