Job Description

Besmoke is a rapidly growing food company, manufacturing a range of naturally smoked ingredients for food manufacturers worldwide. We are looking for a driven individuals that have a good eye for detail complete paperwork, previous laboratory experience is desirable although not essential as full training is provided.

The core hours of work will be between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 14.30 on a Friday, a total of 40 hours per week.

Prepare customer samples, package, label & prepare boxes ready for despatch collection

Keeping up to date records of sample stock and packaging materials

Prepare tasting kits, add customer instructions, package in to boxes ready for despatch collection

Prepare samples of seasonings, marinades, rubs, sauces, brines, coatings for customer presentations

Preparation & recording of sensory sample analysis

Organoleptic testing (NPD, Samples & Production)

Responsible for keeping lab equipment in good working order

Daily cleaning of sample preparation area & monthly deep clean

Assist with production upscaling

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Meticulous attention to detail

Work in a fast paced environment Computer literacy, daily management of database and excel spreadsheets
Excellent written & oral communication skills

Time management

Good team working skills

Analytical skills

Flexible schedule

GCSE or A Level in science beneficial

Some prior laboratory experience useful
