Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team in the role of a sandblaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating sandblasting equipment, prepare various items for sandblasting and carry out sandblasting work. This can be either on site or off site. Prior experience is not essential as full training will be given, but some mechanical experience/interest would be of advantage along with an interest in restoration. Full driving licence is essential, prefrebly C1+E. This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities



Setting up sandblasting equipment Operating sandblasting equipment Maintaining sandblasting equipment Carry out sandblasting work Clear-up sandblasting debris, especially when off site Stripping/Cover vehicles/items for sandblasting Assist with painting tasks (sanding/masking/priming) Ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety protocols Support site organisation by preparing materials and maintaining a clean work environment Operate vehicles such as lorries/vans/Forklift as required for transporting materials or equipment Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily activities Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks within designated time frames Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Report any safety concerns or issues promptly to supervisors

Experience



Previous experience in sandblasting desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates Driving Good command of Welsh/English, both spoken and written, to facilitate clear communication on-site Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in potentially hazardous environments Motivation to learn new skills and develop professionally within the construction industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
