Job Overview



We are a family business looking for a new member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sanding equipment to finish, smooth and prepare products or materials to company standards.



The role requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.



Responsibilities



Operating sanding machine and other related equipment to finish and smooth surfaces



Inspect materials before and after sanding to ensure quality standards are met.



Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of sanding equipment.



Follow safety guidelines and maintain and clean and tidy workspace.



Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines.



Identify imperfections and defects, and report to supervisors.



Qualifications



Previous experience as a sander operator or in a similar manufacturing role is an asset (training available)



Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship



Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.



Basis mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial safety practices.



Reliable, Punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
