Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food items are made to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial part in providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare sandwiches according to customer specifications, ensuring freshness and quality in every order. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Engage with customers to upsell menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all food products.

Skills

Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic working environment. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers alike. A proactive attitude towards upselling products and assisting customers with their needs.
