Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Maker to join our vibrant food service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches with efficiency and attention to quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and customer service to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The role involves working in a fast-paced setting, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients Serve customers efficiently, ensuring orders are accurate and presented attractively Upsell additional items such as drinks, snacks, or upgrades to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfilment Restock ingredients and supplies as needed, keeping the workstation organised and clean Follow health and safety regulations diligently, reporting any hazards or issues promptly Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and equipment

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control Experience in a kitchen environment or culinary background is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
