We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their orders, and promoting our menu offerings through effective upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist customers in selecting their sandwich options, providing recommendations and upselling additional items when appropriate. Manage time effectively to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders during peak hours. Handle food preparation tasks including slicing vegetables, meats, and cheeses as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage. Excellent communication skills with the ability to help customers effectively.

Pay: 12.50 per hour
