Job Description

Assistant required for a busy sandwich/bake off department inside the Londis shop on Abbotsbury Road.

Londis Abbotsbury Road Sandwich bar and bakery is a fast paced, busy environment.

Successful Candidates will be interested in serving high quality food, with speed, whilst delivering excellent customer service.

No previous experience is necessary however, a passion for fast paced work and previous food shop/counter work would be an advantage.

Due to Food Hygiene rules, you will not be able to wear nail varnish, false, gel or acrylic nails for this job.

This job requires you to be flexible with your availability and working hours and includes working every other weekend.

Responsibilities Include but are not restricted to :

Taking Customers Orders , face to face and occasionally over the phone. Preparation of Hot and Cold Sandwiches / wraps / pasta / salads etc. Clean ups including washing up and a daily clean down. Restocking fridges on the shop floor with bakery items. Preparing orders for our online delivery service, Snappy Shopper. Preparing Sandwich and Roll orders for our sister Londis store in the town centre.
Applicants must be good communicators, energetic and ready for a fast paced day.

Job Type: Part Time, 20-25 hours per week.

You must be flexible in your availability and we ask that you cover staff holidays and sickness if and when required.

21 and over - 12.71 p/h

18 to 20 - 10.50 p/h

16-17 - 8.05 p/h

Can you work every other weekend? Any shift between the hours of 6am and 7pm. Are you aware you cannot wear false nails, gel nails, nail varnish or acrylics for this job? Did you read the advert and can commit to being flexible in your working hours? These could be any shifts starting from 6am each day and the latest shift finish time is 7pm. (You will not be working from 6am until 7pm. These are just the earliest and latest shift times). Hours will vary and will not necessarily be the same days or shifts each week.
