Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies as needed. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while upselling menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Perform basic kitchen tasks such as slicing vegetables, cooking meats, and preparing sauces as required. Utilise basic math skills for portion control and inventory management.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills for managing orders and inventory accurately. A friendly disposition with strong communication skills for engaging with customers. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing menu items or procedures. Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
