Job Description

• The SAP MDG Architect will act as a subject matter expert, leading the design and implementation of master data governance solutions for Business Partner (Customer and Vendor) and Material Master domains.
• This role requires extensive experience in SAP MDG, S/4HANA, and data governance best practices to ensure the integrity, quality, and consistency of master data across the enterprise landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for Business Partner and Material Master data objects.
• Collaborate with the key stakeholders to support gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into a robust MDG solution design.
• Support in all aspects of the MDG solution, including:

• Data modeling: Extending and customizing the data models for Business Partner and Material Master.
• Process modeling: Designing rule-based workflows using Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+) for change request management.
• UI modeling: Configuring user interfaces using Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Fiori.
• Data replication: Setting up the Data Replication Framework (DRF) to distribute master data to other systems.
• Oversee data consolidation, mass processing, and data quality activities, leveraging tools such as SAP Data Services and Information Steward.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership on the implementation, including leading technical teams and coordinating with other functional leads.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, design specifications, and test scripts.
• Support testing activities, including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience:

• Extensive experience (12-15+ years) in SAP MDG implementations, with a strong focus on Business Partner and Material Master.
• Experience with S/4HANA projects is essential.
• At least 2-3 full lifecycle SAP MDG implementations.
• Technical skills:

• Hands-on experience with MDG configuration, data modeling, process modeling, and UI modeling.
• Proficiency in ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, Web Dynpro, FPM, and BRF+.
• Expertise in Data Replication Framework (DRF), SOA services, ALE/Idoc, and CVI.
• Experience with SAP Fiori for MDG applications.
• Functional knowledge:

• Deep understanding of master data concepts, data governance principles, and data quality management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of core business processes related to Business Partner and Material Management (MM).
• Soft skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
