Job summary
This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the Lightening Security programme at RAF Marham. The administrative officer's security role at RAF Marham within the F35 team requires DV clearance. The role involves being an integral part of the Special Access Programme Security Team that ensures that the highest level of security is delivered to protect the F-35 air system. The post will be based within one of the F-35 high security facilities and the role is important as it enables the F-35 pilots and operations staff to plan their missions in a secure environment. The role offers opportunity for advancement within Special Access Programme security, a growing area of expertise within Defence and this post is an exciting opportunity to be at the very forefront of this area.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Shift work is involved in this position which attracts a regular shift allowance of 12.5% and an additional flexible shift allowance of 4%.###
Job description
1. Compliance with classified information facilities Standard Operating Procedures and Concept of Operation (CONOPS) documentation, including facility diagrams, manpower requirements and security-in-depth documentation.
2. Coordination with Government Special Access Programme Security Officer (GSSO) for issue and removal of classified information facility access pins & cards.
3. Monitoring entry and exit to classified information facility; answering queries; internal CCTV monitoring.
4. Enforce Special Access Programme (SAP) Security policies.
5. Hold security clearances/ access approvals commensurate with the level of information been held and processed within the facility.
6. Dealing with visitors and operation of a 'blue' light system.
7. Facility infrastructure upkeep for classified information facility, liaising with external facility management providers (Amey, Integral, Security Services Group, etc).
8. Assisting the classified information Facility Security Manager with mandatory inspection paperwork and other associated documentation.
9. As directed by the classified information Facility Security Manager, record and report any classified material-related security incidents and violations in classified information facility and liaise with the Operations GSSO to ensure timely & appropriate incident management & reporting.
11. Until a classified information supporting network is in place provide 2-man courier/escort of classified material.
