Weekend Dentist

to provide private emergency and general dentistry on Saturdays. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys autonomy, values clinical quality, and thrives in a calm, supportive private environment.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing

private emergency appointments

, providing general dentistry, and offering clear diagnosis and treatment planning for patients requiring ongoing care. The role suits a dentist with strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to put anxious patients at ease.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage private dental emergencies, including: Toothache and dental pain Lost fillings, crowns, or veneers Broken, fractured, or traumatised teeth Provide treatments such as: Extractions Restorations Access and dressing of teeth Temporary and definitive repairs Deliver high-quality general dentistry with a strong focus on patient comfort Provide clear advice, reassurance, and treatment planning Identify and discuss longer-term or cosmetic treatment options where appropriate Maintain excellent clinical standards, record-keeping, and professionalism
Requirements

BDS or equivalent dental qualification Full

GDC registration

UK clinical experience in general dentistry Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills Confidence managing urgent and emergency cases Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical, patient-centred care and CPD
