Join Our Team as a Savoury Line Key Operative




We're expanding, and launching a brand-new Savoury Line! This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Production team and be part of something fresh. As a Savoury Line Key Operative, you'll be at the centre of a fast-paced, high-volume environment, helping to produce thousands of delicious cooked savoury products every day. Hours of work:

Day Shift - 07:00 until 17:00

Hourly Rate:

13.10 (Band 2)


We are looking for one cook to work Monday to Thursday, and 3 Key Operatives to work Tuesday to Friday.


We are looking at this role starting beginning of February 2025 for training, and then launching fully in Mid-March (These dates could be subject to change).


This will be a small team consisting of one Team Leader and 4 Key Operatives.

Key Responsibilities



Mass Production & Line Operation



Work on a busy production line preparing cooked savoury products in large volumes Accurately measure and mix ingredients following standardised recipes Operate and monitor industrial cooking equipment including mixers, cooking kettles, and cooling racks Portion, shape, cook, and package products at speed while maintaining quality Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistent results Identify and resolve production issues quickly to avoid delays

Cleaning & Sanitation



Maintain a clean and hygienic production area throughout your shift Follow strict cleaning schedules and hygiene protocols Clean equipment, tools, and surfaces to food safety standards Manage waste disposal and restock cleaning supplies as needed

Quality Control



Carry out regular checks to ensure products meet our high standards for taste, appearance, and freshness Ensure consistency in portion sizes and product presentation Report and address any quality concerns promptly

Food Safety & Compliance



Adhere to all food safety regulations and allergen handling procedures Ensure correct storage of ingredients and finished goods Wear appropriate PPE and maintain accurate production and cleaning records

What We're Looking For



Ideally some cheffing or cooking experience, or an aspiring cook Experience in food manufacturing or production line work is a plus Strong attention to detail and hygiene Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment A reliable team player with good time management and a positive attitude
