Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sawman/Woman to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating saws and related machinery to cut and prepare materials for engineering and assembly processes. Responsibilities

Operate various types of saws and cutting equipment to accurately cut materials according to specifications Read and interpret technical drawings. Utilise hand tools and power tools for material preparation, assembly, and finishing tasks Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement Assist with additional duties within the workshop when required. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards Perform basic measurements using standard tools such as calipers, rulers, and micrometers to ensure precision Collaborate with team members on tooling adjustments and material handling procedures

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments Mechanical knowledge including understanding of tooling, materials handling, and basic mathematics for measurements Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Previous workshop experience or familiarity with materials storage is advantageous Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
