Introduction



Our client\xe2\x80\x99s Data Practice works across Defence and CNI and they are looking for passionate Data Engineers who want to work with client as they work on real-world safety critical programmes! They are in a unique position as they have access to vast quantities of data, world leading domain specialists on tap and an extremely diverse range of clients with unique challenges. The team is already established but is growing due to winning more work! Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities


  • Responsible for interpreting large volumes of data and maintaining pipelines.
  • Transforming data into a format that can be easily analysed.
  • Build and deliver Azure Data Engineering solutions.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Develop and improve data set processes for Data Modelling, Data Mining and Data Warehousing solution.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal ETL from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Create data tools that assist in building and optimising the products that help business achieving their goals.

Skills & experience


  • Degree qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL, Cloud based data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Experience working with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark is required.
  • Experience working with large data sets, data pipeline and workflow management tools, Azure/AWS cloud services, and stream-processing system.
  • Consultancy experience would be beneficial, excellent stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
