Pyramid Scaffold Design is a scaffold design consultancy based in Chelmsford, Essex. The company provides industry-leading design packages for residential and commercial projects, drawing from extensive practical experience, advanced education, and technical knowledge.

Role Overview

As a Scaffold CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed scaffold designs using CAD software. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure that all scaffold structures meet safety standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D scaffold drawings using AutoCAD or similar software. Interpret technical drawings, site plans, and specifications. Collaborate with engineers and site supervisors to develop safe and efficient scaffold designs. Modify and update drawings based on project changes or feedback. Ensure all designs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain organised records of all drawings and revisions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in scaffolding or construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D); experience with Revit or other BIM software is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification or diploma in CAD design, engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of TG20:21 and other scaffolding guidelines. Experience with Layher, Cuplok, or other modular scaffold systems.
