Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively at heights. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safe and efficient access for ongoing building works.

Responsibilities

Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications. Inspect scaffolding components regularly to ensure stability and safety throughout the project duration. Collaborate with site managers and other tradespeople to coordinate scaffold placement and modifications as needed. Ensure all scaffolding is erected on a stable foundation and is secure before use. Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and materials efficiently. Follow all health and safety protocols diligently during all phases of scaffold construction and dismantling. Assist with loading and unloading scaffolding materials using appropriate hand tools and power tools.

Skills

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or general construction is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous. Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, and wrenches. Experience operating power tools including drills, grinders, and lifts safely. Strong understanding of health & safety standards related to working at heights and scaffold erection. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately. Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical fitness and dexterity to perform manual tasks in challenging environments at height levels.
