Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding systems to support various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Scaffold Builder will utilise both hand and power tools, ensuring that all structures are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Fabricate scaffolding components according to project specifications and safety regulations. Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems safely and efficiently on various construction sites. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to assemble scaffolding structures. Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure stability and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, to coordinate work activities. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring that all tools and materials are stored properly. Assist in painting or finishing tasks as required on-site. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Scaffold Builder or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of scaffold fabrication techniques and safety regulations. Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform basic masonry work as needed for scaffold installation. Familiarity with electrical installations related to scaffolding setups is advantageous. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including working at heights. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues on-site. A valid scaffold building certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
