We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures for various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site. The Scaffold Builder will utilise hand tools and power tools to fabricate scaffolding that meets project specifications while ensuring structural integrity and safety.
Responsibilities
Construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with project plans and safety regulations.
Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of scaffolding into the overall project.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble scaffolding components.
Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for safety compliance and structural stability.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
Assist in the training of new scaffold builders as needed.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience
Previous experience in scaffold building or a related field is highly desirable.
Familiarity with roofing, carpentry, electrical work, welding, masonry, or painting is advantageous.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to scaffold construction.
Strong understanding of plumb principles for ensuring vertical alignment of scaffolding structures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
