We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with engineering plans and safety regulations
Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear, ensuring structural integrity before use
Collaborate with site managers and other tradespeople to coordinate scaffold assembly around ongoing construction activities
Ensure all scaffolding is securely anchored and complies with health and safety guidelines
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble scaffolding components accurately
Maintain a clean work environment by organising materials and removing debris from the work area
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or general construction trades such as masonry or plumbing is highly desirable
Knowledge of welding, electrical work, or fabrication processes is advantageous
Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffolding assembly and construction tasks
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at height and scaffold installation
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering plans accurately
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure safe and precise assembly of structures
Physical fitness to handle lifting, climbing, and working at heights for extended periods
