Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role involves using power tools and hand tools to assemble components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications. Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques and other methods as required. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in production.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid welding certification is advantageous but not essential.
