Job Description

This post sits within the Independent Living service providing the Scheme Co-ordinator service at Ruthrie Court, Aberdeen . The current working hours are 13 hours worked during Monday 8am - 1pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 8am - 12pm.

Key Responsibilities:




The postholder will be expected to provide a comprehensive enhanced housing management service to Castlehill's housing for older people.


This will include:

Assist tenants to sustain their tenancy by providing a property check call in accordance with tenants wishes and signposting to relevant agencies. Assisting with tenancy related issues, including the safety and security of the building and neighbour relationships to ensure we keep a high level of customer satisfaction Promote independent living by providing information on and helping to access the Associations adaptations service. Daily scheme building checks to complete any relevant Health and & Safety checks including security and safety of the premises, fire safety and hazards, lighting in communal areas, external access doors and door entry systems, external areas including gardens, drying areas bin areas, and car parks Maintain tenant welcome packs and liaise with Housing Officer and Tenant Participation Officer to support tenant social activities. In line with internal procedures co-ordinate access to facilities for tenants including; laundry areas, storage areas for equipment, social activities in common areas, and guest bedroom accommodation. Following the Associations policies, procedures and updating the Housing Management IT system and using Microsoft IT packages word, excel, outlook and Teams regularly.

About you:




You will have experience of a customer facing role, preferably in the housing or social care sector, with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. You will have good IT Skills, with experience of Microsoft packages including; SharePoint, Teams, Word and Excel. You will be have the ability to keep accurate and up to date records and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. A key part of the role is the ability to work independently without close supervision due to the nature and location of the job. A Criminal Record Check is required for this role.

Hours of Work: Hours of work are 13 per hours per week, worked Monday 5 hours and Tuesday - Wednesday 4 hours Annual Leave: Generous annual leave entitlement of 37 days including 9 public holidays (pro-rata) Salary: Starting salary is 5,733. The salary is a Grade 2 (22,932 - 23,631 pro-rata) Pension: A defined contribution pension scheme with start contribution rate of 5% employee contribution and 10% employer contribution. * Probation Period: A six month probation period applies to all new employees
