About Us

Conquest School is a new Independent Special School opening in Boston Lincolnshire. The school will be registered for 50 pupils aged 7-19 with a range of SEMH needs including:?

The Role

The School Administrator plays a pivotal role in the smooth and effective running of the school. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and families, ensure the efficient operation of administrative processes, and support the leadership team in delivering our vision for inclusive excellence. You will work closely with the school leadership team, teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals, helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and well-organised environment for all.

Main Responsibilities

Reception Duties: Greet pupils, parents, carers, and visitors with professionalism and warmth. Answer telephone enquiries, respond to emails, and deal with queries in person. Pupil Records: Maintain accurate and confidential records for all pupils, including enrolment, attendance, medical information, safeguarding documentation, and statutory returns. Communication: Circulate information to parents, carers, and staff. Prepare regular newsletters, manage school social media accounts, and update the school website as required. Finance Administration: Process invoices, track payments and expenses, assist with budget monitoring, and liaise with external suppliers. HR Support: Assist with recruitment, induction and training for staff. Monitor staff absences and maintain personnel records. Governance: Support the senior leadership team and governors by preparing meeting agendas, minutes, reports, and documentation. Compliance: Ensure the school meets statutory requirements (including GDPR, safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted inspections). Monitor key deadlines and maintain up-to-date policies. Event Coordination: Organise and support school events, open days, parent evenings, and staff training sessions. Resource Management: Order and manage stocks of stationery, equipment, and supplies. Liaise with contractors for maintenance and repairs. Transport: Coordinate pupil transport arrangements, liaising with families and providers to ensure safe and timely travel. Support for Pastoral Care: Assist in the delivery of pastoral programmes, support attendance initiatives, and help respond to pupil welfare needs as appropriate.
About You

As Conquest Schools administrator you will have:

Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within an educational or health/social care setting Excellent organisational and time-management skills High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, database management, email systems) Strong written and verbal communication skills Sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Warm and approachable manner, with a commitment to inclusive practice Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Attributes:

Knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice

Experience of school finance processes and HR administration

Familiarity with school management software systems

First Aid qualification

Understanding of safeguarding requirements in schools
