MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To be part of the Eggtooth Referrals Coordination team offering a bespoke person-centred mental health service, where our priority is creating a tailored provision to suit the client's individual needs (majority children/young people and parents).
To assess new referrals from schools and statutory services, consider risk and safeguarding issues and determine the right level and nature of support for each individual.
To liaise with practitioners and clients to organise the logistics of the referrals and remain the main point of contact for both.
Ensure all information is securely recorded and monitored.
Ensuring the safety of children and young people is paramount and central to all decision-making.
To attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings as necessary, representing the Eggtooth provision.
MAIN TASKS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor referrals from schools and statutory services
Assess new referrals for risk and determine the right level and nature of support for each individual
Work as part of the Referrals team to match clients with practitioners best placed to serve their therapeutic needs
Coordinate the provision, e.g. venue, time, practitioner
Communicate with parents/carers, clients, practitioners, statutory services and schools
Where appropriate, prepare individual risk assessments
Remain a port of call for any questions, issues and safeguarding concerns
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, representing the Eggtooth provision and providing feedback
Participate actively in shaping the service and continually improve the client and practitioner experience
Establish and maintain effective relationships with contracted service partners
Undertake administrative tasks as appropriate, including accurate and timely record-keeping
General

Collaborate with community partners to ensure our services are culturally aware and identify means to make Eggtooth services more accessible

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The following are essential:
Strong background in administration or coordination within a busy office environment
Have a good understanding of multi-agency working and experience working in social care, education and/or mental health
Experience or a strong desire to work creatively and consider each client on a case-by-case basis
Experience working with safeguarding procedures
Experience working as part of a team
Ability to work flexibly (from home and at our office in Hastings Town Centre)
The following are desirable:
Experience working within education and/or statutory services
Experience working with children/families
Experience working for a Charity or Not for Profit organisation

Level 3 Safeguarding Training is required but can be provided
