Contract: Permanent contract (subject to the satisfactory completion of 6 months probation). Regular performance management/line management meetings will be held with the head teacher).

Park Primary School is seeking to appoint a strong and inspirational School Business Manager to join our very friendly, hardworking team.

We are looking to appoint someone who is forward-thinking, with the passion and commitment to build on the achievements of our school and act as a driver for further improvement.

What will you be doing?

As School Business Manager you will improve current processes and develop systems to allow for cost savings across the school. The position is varied and will also include direct line management, health and safety, site management (facilities), generating additional income for the school, management of finances and reporting, resource planning, HR/recruitment and more.

You will need to have previous experience with business change, driving forward cost savings, HR, process improvement (across administration and departments), personnel management and more. You will need to have had experiences within an equally varied position overseeing all systems and processes within a business, organisation or school and have previously worked within a similar role. However, previous sector experience is not essential.

You will:

  • Be computer literate
  • Experienced in a financial environment and in maintaining financial records including dealing with cash and cash equivalents and safeguarding public funds
  • Have the ability to complete detailed paperwork \xe2\x80\x93 reports, bids, requests for information etc. with attention to detail
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have budget management capability
  • Enjoy working in a child focused environment
  • Have a positive attitude approach to leading and working with a team
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and display and demonstrate a high level of personal integrity in every aspect of their job
  • Manage other staff within a financial environment to ensure the delivery of robust financial processes that safeguard public funds.
