Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Agency Catering Assistant to join our Schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our catering events run smoothly, providing exceptional guest services and maintaining high standards of food safety.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring quality and freshness. Set up and break down catering stations, including tables, linens, and equipment. Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional manner, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area before, during, and after events. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and effective communication. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or special requests from attendees. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. A proactive attitude towards helping others and ensuring guest satisfaction. Experience in bartending or restaurant service is an advantage.
