Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of catering services for schools in the area. The ideal candidate will have access to their own vehicle as business mileage will be paid at 45p per mile, experience in preparing and serving food, and a friendly and professional team spirit. We are looking for candidates who have good attention to detail and can work on their own initiative to ensure our service arrives on time for our clients.

Responsibilities

Deliver hot meals and serve lunch to Primary School pupils Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment. Set up and break down catering equipment and supplies at locations. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with Pupils and Teachers in a friendly and professional manner. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of catering services. Help manage inventory of food and supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to the supervisor.

Requirements

Immediate Start Full , clean driving licence and use of own vehicle for delivering food. DBS clearance essential Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to assist where needed.
