Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and service. Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to maintain cost efficiency. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in the development of special events or themed menus as required. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food production processes. Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to help others grow within the kitchen environment.
