Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a spotless appearance Handle janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting surfaces, disinfecting high-touch areas, and restocking supplies Conduct routine custodial inspections to identify maintenance needs and report repairs promptly Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and painting as needed to uphold school standards Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently for deep cleaning projects or special events Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a clean environment that meets all sanitation standards

Requirements

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within a school, commercial, or industrial setting Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation practices Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently while adhering to schedules Previous experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not required
