Main Purpose of the Role
As a Cleaner, your main responsibility will be to carry out high-quality cleaning duties across the school site. You will help ensure that learning spaces, offices, corridors, and washrooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Cleaning floors using manual or powered equipment (e.g., mops, vacuums, floor scrubbers)
Dusting, wiping down, and tidying designated areas
Following cleaning schedules to maintain hygiene standards
Ensuring cleaning products are used and stored according to safety regulations
Keeping all equipment clean, tidy, and in good working order
Complying with all health and safety protocols, including proper chemical storage and PPE use

Qualifications & Training
Essential:
Basic level of education; must be able to read and understand cleaning instructions, COSHH information, and complete required records
Desirable:
Any relevant cleaning or health and safety training (training will be provided if needed)
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
Strong communication skills
Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH principles
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Able to prioritise tasks and complete work to a high standard
Confident using cleaning tools and equipment
Willingness to share knowledge and support team members
Ability to follow safe working practices and cooperate with relevant policies
Desirable:
Previous experience in a commercial cleaning setting
