As a
School Cook
, you'll play a vital role in preparing and presenting nutritious, high-quality meals to fuel learning and wellbeing across our large secondary school. You'll work in a dynamic environment, supported by a dedicated team and led by a Catering Manager.

What you'll do:
Prepare, cook and serve meals to an exceptional standard
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
Help coordinate service across two kitchens
Monitor stock levels and reduce waste
Contribute to a welcoming and efficient catering experience

What we're looking for:
NVQ Level 1/2 in Catering & Hospitality (or equivalent)
A passion for quality food and customer service
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Previous catering experience (school setting desirable but not essential)
A commitment to safeguarding and high professional standards

Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning. At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts.
