We are seeking a reliable, caring, and professional
Minibus Driver
to safely transport up to 16 pupils between Andover and Danebury School. This vital role supports our school's vision by ensuring pupils arrive safely and punctually, ready to engage fully with their learning and development. If you enjoy driving through beautiful countryside and want to contribute to a positive school community, this role is an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive the minibus to transport pupils to and from school each day, adhering to all road safety and legal requirements
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the minibus
Promote a calm, respectful atmosphere on the bus and manage pupil behaviour appropriately, reporting any concerns
Keep accurate records of journeys, mileage, and incidents
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding transport arrangements and any delays
Comply with all licencing, insurance, and safeguarding policies
Participate in relevant training, including safeguarding and vehicle operation
Required Qualifications and Experience
Full, clean driving licence with entitlement to drive a mini-bus
Experience driving minibuses or similar vehicles
Commitment to pupil safety, welfare, and safeguarding
Punctual, reliable, and responsible with excellent time management
Good interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Awareness of rural driving conditions and safe navigation of local routes
Desirable Qualities
MIDAS qualification or willingness to obtain this accreditation
Professional and courteous demeanour reflecting Danebury School's ethos and values
Enthusiasm for contributing to the school community and pupils' well-being
