Job Description

We have a vacancy for a School Nurse, to join our small friendly onsite Medical Centre team at Christ's Hospital. The work includes caring for pupils in our in-patient unit, taking daily surgeries and being available to give health advice to the pupils.

Our school Medical Centre is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week during term time and generally staff work a mixture of day and night shifts on a rota basis. The successful candidate will work a shift pattern of up to 46 hours per week term time (33 weeks per year plus 2 weeks CPD) and will generally work 2 nights and 3 days a week. There is some flexibility with the hours, and we are happy to consider part-time applications who would be happy to work at least 1 night per week alongside some daytime shifts. Flexibility, good communication skills and the confidence to work unsupervised are essential. Applicants will ideally be able to start in September 2025 and be able to evidence their RGN qualification and current NMC Registration. RN Child is also desirable. However, we will also consider paramedics who can evidence suitable experience.
