Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and punctuality. The role is to do school run drop and pick up from singleton to Chilmington secondary school. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while maintaining vehicle condition and adhering to all road safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, for the transportation of goods and materials Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies Ensure the vehicle remains clean, secure, and well-maintained at all times

Qualifications

Valid PERSON driver's licence with a clean driving record Proven experience as a driver Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively Previous experience in driving within busy urban or rural environments is desirable
