We are looking for a
School Staff Nurse
to join our amazing
Enhanced Public Health Nursing Service in Tower Hamlets
. This is a varied role where you will support the delivery of the
Healthy Child Programme
, working with
children, young people and families aged 5 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs
.
Your work will cover a wide range of health needs including
physical and emotional wellbeing, sexual health, substance use, healthy lifestyles and long-term conditions
. You will provide
assessments, brief interventions and proactive public health initiatives
, as well as contributing to safeguarding and early help processes.
The role is diverse and community focused. You may find yourself supporting children in schools, delivering
smoking cessation, pregnancy or STI testing, sexual health advice, or health education sessions
, and working closely with families and professionals across education, social care and health services.

About You
Are you the kind of nurse who sees more than symptoms? Someone who wants to understand the whole child, the young person, their family and their world, and help them feel healthier, safer and more supported?
We are looking for a
Registered Nurse
who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. To succeed in this role, you will need:
A recognised
RN qualification
(Child branch or RSCN desirable)
Experience of
working with children, young people and families
Skills in
delivering interventions one to one or in groups
Experience of
managing a caseload in a community or team setting
Strong skills in
communication, empathy and building relationships
The ability to
work flexibly, prioritise and adapt to changing needs
It would be great if you also bring experience in
public health or school nursing
, but above all we are looking for someone who is
compassionate, resilient and values led
.
