Part-time hours: 5 hours a week for a limited 6 weeks (2 in April, 2 June and 2 July) 5 hours per week for 4-10 weeks across the following school year, opportunity to increase over time. With chance to gain additional hours depending on commitment to leading and developing new sessions.

Epic Partners require a passionate, enthusiastic and organised swimming teacher to join our team in Nottingham. We deliver a fun, friendly community and school swimming programme. The position will be on a casual part time basis or a freelance swimming teacher.
Your primary role will be to assist the teacher/teach children of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. You will deliver sessions in a professional manner and undertake administrative tasks associated with the role (i.e. lesson plans, class registers, monitoring and evaluation).

Sound organisational skills including use of scheme of work session plans

Main Duties:
To work with a group of swimmers to help them achieve the aims required, to the facility's agreed session plans (ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming)
To maintain up-to-date register of all swimmers attending each session, enabling the instructor to complete end of term reports
Make a note of details of any particular needs of an individual swimmer
Abide by all policies and codes as required
Ensure that all qualifications are renewed and updated as and when required
Be aware and understand the facility Emergency Action Plan and Normal Operating Procedures (EAP&NOP)
To follow and promote the Epic Partners Child Protection policy
Maintain Qualifications The post holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons, for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact, will be to adhere to and always ensure compliance with Epic Partners Child Protection Policy Statement.
To agree to abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with policies, including equal opportunities, safeguarding children, health and safety at work, etc.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
Be willing to work towards or hold ASA/STA Level 2 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent).
Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check;
Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues;
Hold a lifeguard/teacher rescue qualification. (NRASTC or NPLQ)
