1 x post in Norwich South - permanent contract


1 x post in Broadland East - permanent contract


1 x post in Broadland South - fixed term contract until 31/08/2026


1 x post in Norwich North - fixed term contract until 31/03/2027

About us:



The team's working practices are rooted within our core ways of working and vital signs through relationship-based practice using Signs of Safety, Solihull, Communities of Practice, Joint Agency Group Supervision, Restorative working, and Family Networking. We want children, young people, and families in Norfolk to receive support at the earliest opportunity so that they can flourish. By acting together, as a prevention and early help system, we can enable families to receive the right support, at the right time.



School and Community Cluster Teams collaborate predominantly with schools, children and families that require early help within emerging SEND needs. The cluster teams' working practices are rooted within our core ways of working and vital signs through relationship-based practice using Signs of Safety, Solihull, Communities of Practice, Joint Agency Group Supervision, Restorative working, and Family Networking.



About the role:



As the Team Manager for Schools and Communities, you will operate within Norfolk's Partnerships, Schools, and Communities Team. We are seeking an experienced leader able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including education settings with an understanding of SEND needs.



You will be required to:



Manage and provide leadership to the School and Community service in Norfolk. Provide management and direction to a team of practitioners to ensure early intervention and preventative services are provided with education settings, children, young people, and their families which promote inclusion in education settings. Manage and supervise cases, ensuring planning and robust intervention is evidenced in all cases, which leads to successful outcomes being achieved and sustained. Ensuring timely and proportionate work is being completed by practitioners with education settings, children, and families. Accountability for achieving required service performance targets, including proactively responding to School and Community Zone profiles in partnership with other stakeholders to reduce inequalities, promote inclusion, and encourage prevention and early help being everyone's responsibility. Build and develop relationship-based practice within a Community of Practice with other stakeholders within a setting, school, and community zone. Be a key patron of partnership working with statutory and voluntary agencies within the area to improve services and achieve efficiencies, working closely with the Norfolk Family Hub network. Foster close working relationships with education settings to support partnership working that delivers the strategic ambitions of Flourish in Norfolk. Use available data, local knowledge and partnership working to analyse the needs of the area and shape local services, working collaboratively to plan place-based responses as part the School and Community offer. Lead the team alongside the Head of Service, support the delivery of high-quality services through quality assurance and professional development activities that support your team to ensure outstanding outcomes for children, young people, and families with education settings in the Zone are achieved.
