We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to inspire and educate students across various age groups. Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as biochemistry, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Design and implement practical laboratory experiments to enhance experiential learning and scientific understanding.
Provide personalised tutoring and mentoring to students to support their academic progress and foster a love for science.
Manage behaviour effectively within the classroom to create a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement.
Assist students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.
Proofread and review lesson plans, assessments, and student work to ensure clarity, accuracy, and high standards of quality.
Support scientific research projects and encourage critical thinking through inquiry-based learning activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate science with other subjects such as maths and technology.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioural development.
Skills
Proven experience in teaching science at secondary or higher education levels.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
In-depth knowledge of biochemistry along with general scientific principles.
Laboratory experience including safety procedures, experiment design, and data analysis.
Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
Behaviour management expertise to maintain a disciplined yet supportive classroom environment.
Competence in tutoring students who require additional academic support or special education services.
Ability to conduct scientific research and incorporate current developments into lesson plans.
