Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for science through engaging lessons and hands-on laboratory experiences. This role requires a strong foundation in various scientific disciplines, including biochemistry, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of varying abilities.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Teach a range of science subjects, with a focus on biochemistry, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn and succeed. Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations, guiding students through practical applications of scientific theories. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience, sharing best practices and resources. Provide tutoring and mentoring support for students who may require additional assistance or encouragement. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with scientific advancements and educational methodologies.

Requirements



A degree in Science or a related field; teaching qualification is preferred. Strong knowledge of biochemistry, maths, and scientific research methodologies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience in behaviour management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment. Proficiency in laboratory procedures and safety protocols. Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring students is advantageous. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning needs.
