Key Responsibilities

As a Teacher at FST, you will:

Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Create a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Support the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils. Plan, prepare, and evaluate learning programmes that promote well-rounded development. Assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare them for public exams. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil success. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with school policies.
What We're Looking For

Essential:



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous teaching experience within the relevant age range. Strong subject knowledge with the ability to differentiate learning for all ability levels. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively. Emotional resilience, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Desirable:



Experience working with children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs). Specialist qualifications in special education. Knowledge of SEN, EBD, ADHD, and safeguarding processes. Experience in a residential setting.
