Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in various scientific disciplines, fostering a stimulating learning environment for students. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, and a commitment to mentoring students in their academic journey.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Teach subjects including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and biochemistry. Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra help in understanding scientific concepts. Mentor students in their academic pursuits, encouraging critical thinking and scientific inquiry. Assess student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and practical assessments. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour management strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience within the school. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills



Strong teaching skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Experience in mentoring or tutoring students in science-related subjects. Knowledge of scientific research methodologies and laboratory practices. Familiarity with special education needs and strategies for inclusive teaching. Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in teaching materials and student assessments. Competence in mathematics as it relates to scientific applications. Qualifications

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable. Ability to educate diverse learners, adapting methods to suit individual needs. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically. Relevant qualifications in education QTS or PGCE-Do not apply if you do not have these qualifications. DET ( Diploma in Education and Training) maybe accepted

Pay: 20.00-21.00 per hour
