The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated
Science Teacher
to join a forward-thinking and collaborative Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on student achievement across
Key Stages 3 and 4
, delivering engaging lessons and inspiring a love for science in young learners.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across all key stages (KS3-KS4), ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and challenging.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote progress and inspire curiosity in scientific concepts.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department to share best practices and resources.
Use a variety of teaching strategies and modern technologies to enhance learning experiences.
Support the school's
CARES
values through positive relationships and professional conduct.
Participate in wider school life, including extracurricular activities, events, and staff development opportunities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across the department.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
Ability to differentiate lessons for students of varying abilities.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A genuine passion for education and student success.
Preferred:
Experience supporting or mentoring Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
Knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
Experience working within a high-performing school environment.
